Terms of Service
Last updated: April 27, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the MoxToken platform, API, website, or any associated services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
MoxToken is operated by MoxToken Inc. ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MoxToken Inc.
2. Description of Service
MoxToken provides a unified API gateway that allows developers to access large language models (LLMs) and other AI models from multiple providers through a single, standardized API endpoint. We act as an intermediary between you and the model providers.
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account. We support the following authentication methods:
- Google OAuth
- GitHub OAuth
- Email verification code (passwordless)
We do not offer password-based login. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and any third-party accounts linked to your MoxToken account.
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You must provide a valid email address.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use.
4. API Keys
You may create one or more API keys through the Console to authenticate requests to the Service. Each key is shown in full only once at the time of creation; after that, it is permanently masked and cannot be retrieved.
You are solely responsible for the security and use of your API keys. Any request authenticated with your key is treated as authorized by you.
You may optionally configure the following for each key:
- Credit limit: a maximum spend cap for the key. Once reached, further requests using that key will be rejected.
- Expiration: a fixed validity period (30 days, 90 days, 1 year, or a custom date). After expiration, the key becomes inactive and cannot be re-enabled.
You may disable, re-enable, or delete a key at any time. Deleting a key is irreversible, and any in-flight requests using that key will stop working immediately.
5. Credits and Payment
The Service operates on a prepaid credit system. 1 Credit equals 1 US dollar. Usage is deducted in real time based on the actual number of input and output tokens consumed per request, at the per-model pricing listed on our Pricing page.
Your account balance may consist of two types of credits:
- Purchased Credits: acquired through manual top-ups or auto top-ups. These do not expire.
- Referral Credits: earned through the referral program. These do not expire.
When deducting usage, the system consumes Referral Credits first, then Purchased Credits.
The minimum top-up amount is $5. All purchases are processed through Stripe. Service fees and applicable taxes are displayed at checkout and added to the purchase total.
Credits are non-refundable and non-transferable, except where required by applicable law.
Prices are subject to change. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any pricing changes take effect.
You may enable Auto Top-Up to automatically purchase credits when your balance falls below a threshold you define. You are responsible for ensuring your selected payment methods remain valid. Auto Top-Up charges are subject to the same non-refund policy.
If your account balance is insufficient to cover a request, the request will be rejected with an HTTP 402 status code.
6. Referral Program
You may invite others to MoxToken using your personal referral link. When an invited user completes their first purchase of at least $5, you will receive $5 in Referral Credits.
Referral Credits are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be withdrawn as cash.
We reserve the right to withhold or revoke referral rewards if we detect abuse, including but not limited to:
- Multiple accounts using the same payment method.
- Coordinated sign-ups from the same IP address.
- Any activity designed to exploit the referral program
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the referral program at any time without prior notice.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
- Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, usage restrictions, or billing mechanisms.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
- Use the Service to build a product that competes directly with MoxToken without prior written consent.
- Resell or redistribute API access without prior written consent.
- Distribute malware or engage in phishing through the Service.
8. Rate Limiting and API Usage
The Service enforces rate limits on a per-API-key basis, measured in requests per minute (RPM) and tokens per minute (TPM). Default limits are set at the platform level and may be adjusted.
If a request exceeds the applicable rate limit, it will be rejected with an HTTP 429 status code. The response will include a Retry-After header indicating when the request may be retried.
If your account balance or API key credit limit is exhausted, requests will be rejected with an HTTP 402 status code.
We route requests to upstream model providers on your behalf. In the event of upstream outages, the Service may automatically retry or reroute your request to an alternative channel. We do not guarantee that every request will succeed.
9. Data Handling
We do not use your API inputs or outputs to train models.
Playground conversation history and settings are stored in your browser's local storage only. They are not uploaded to our servers. Clearing your browser data or switching devices will result in permanent loss of this data.
For further details on how we handle personal information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
10. Service Availability
We will use commercially reasonable efforts to keep the Service available. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, upstream provider outages, or force majeure events.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime in advance.
11. Account Termination and Deletion
You may delete your account at any time through the Account page in the Console. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Upon deletion:
- All API keys will be immediately revoked.
- All usage logs will be permanently erased.
- Any remaining credit balance will be forfeited and is non-refundable.
- All active billing arrangements (such as Auto Top-Up) will be cancelled.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms. In such cases, any remaining credit balance will also be forfeited.
12. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to your input data and the outputs generated through the Service. MoxToken does not claim ownership of any content you create or process through the Service.
The MoxToken name, logo, and all related branding are the property of MoxToken Inc. You may not use our branding without prior written consent.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MoxToken Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to MoxToken in the 12 months preceding the claim.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MoxToken Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
15. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes via email or through the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
