Hermes

Plug MoxToken into Hermes Agent as its inference backend. Hermes ships with a built-in model switcher, so a single setup lets you swap between models on demand.

Prerequisites

  • • Hermes Agent installed
  • • A MoxToken API Key created in the MoxToken Console

Setup

Option 1 — Interactive wizard (recommended for first-time setup):

hermes model

Choose Custom Endpoint in the menu and fill in:

  • • Base URL: https://api.moxtoken.com/v1
  • • API Key: your MoxToken key
  • • Model: pick the corresponding model name

Option 2 — Write directly to the config file:

cat >> ~/.hermes/.env <<'EOF'
OPENAI_API_BASE=https://api.moxtoken.com/v1
OPENAI_API_KEY=<your-api-key>
EOF

Restart Hermes after writing to apply the change.

Choosing a Model

Inside a Hermes session, type /model to switch between configured models. To add a new model, return to the terminal and run hermes model again to step through the wizard.

Verification

Launch Hermes and send a message. A normal reply confirms MoxToken is connected.
